Way We Approach

1. WHY BAMBOO

Eternal – Take just 3-5 years to re-grow and does not need replanting.

Climate Resilient– absorbs upto 200 tons of carbon dioxide per hectare

Bio Degradable – A natural product decomposes orgnicaly.

Versatile – Used to make diverse products like fabric, furniture.

Tensile – hardy grass its technical strength per unit weight is higher than complete

2.We invite you to be a VenuJeevi of our Bamboo Gram

Sponsor Bamboo plants for plantation on small farmer land holdings in Latur district, Marathwada over its three-year growth period. One third of bamboo poles from bamboo clump will be harvested for the first time after three years, and then annually for at least 40 to 100 hundred years. At the same time, these plants will sequester carbon and increase oxygen in the atmosphere throughout their life cycle.

3.Bamboo Our Commitment to You

A donation receipt will be sent to you as soon as we receive your donation.

A Certificate of membership to the Bamboo Gram community of Phoenix Foundation will be sent to you after plantation of the Bamboo plants.

Details of the plants you have donated – Farmer’s name, location and photographs of plants will be sent in year 1, 2 & 3 when you donate 50 plants or more.

4.Awareness programs

Bamboo gram awareness programs are village-centric and farmer-specific programs, campaigns, or initiatives that increase farmer knowledge and share information and resources. Promoting bamboo as a useful plant in addition to its income-producing capabilities.

Listen to the farmer and create a platform for them to feel heard. Making them understand how bamboo dramatically reduces rain run-off, preventing massive soil erosion and making it earth-friendly.

5. Land survey and training

Our professional team visits villages for a detailed study or inspection. Gathering information through observation, measurements in the field, questionnaires, and analysis in the support of land type, availability, and water level.

The data collected will be entered into the Application and track status of each level action.

6. Bamboo planting

The planting material for bamboo comes with tissue-cultured plantlets. All these planting materials are raised in a nursery before transplanting them into the main area. These plants are provided to the framers in the ratio of land availability record in the application.

Also helping farmers in the main activities involved in establishing the pilot plantation like.

  • Land selection
  • Selection of suitable species
  • Land clearing and preparation
  • Planting and applying fertilizers
  • Maintenance and harvesting

Bamboo Gram is a movement launched by Pashaji Patel to provide a platform to environmentally conscious citizens who also have a social consciousness to contribute to the development of the country. They wish to play a role in the movement to reduce carbon concentration and increase the oxygen levels in the atmosphere. They also want to support the small farmer break the cycle of poverty.
